The Urbamonaco website in a few words

The Direction de la Prospective de l'Urbanisme et de la Mobilité (DPUM) of the Government of Monaco wanted to develop a website dedicated to the presentation of cartographic data accessible to both the general public and professionals.

The aim was to create an interactive platform where users could consult and manipulate modular maps, adjusting the data displayed according to their specific needs and profile (public or authenticated). The aim of the Urbamonaco project was to provide a comprehensive, user-friendly tool for exploring geographical data.

Development of mapping applications

Urbamonaco's technical implementation focused on integrating ArcGIS with the Ibexa DXP platform. Using the ArcGIS JS SDK, our team developed functional modules that integrate seamlessly with the website. These modular mapping applications enable site administrators to create and configure maps directly from the Ibexa DXP back office.

A specific type of content has been designed to facilitate the creation of these maps without the need for additional coding. Administrators can integrate various interactive elements such as zoom, legend, compass, list of layers and backgrounds, as well as printing options.

Customisation and security

A key aspect of the project was to enable in-depth personalisation of the cards according to the user's profile. The distinction between public visitors and authenticated users is managed by a specific configuration that modifies the information displayed according to each user's access rights.

In addition, to strengthen security and the integration of government services, a Single Sign-On (SSO) connection has been set up with MonGuichet. This SSO connection enables secure authentication and simplified access to requests for additional rights via a dedicated form.
